LAS student Manny Marcos isn’t one for light-reading. The last book he read for fun? The collected works of the philosopher and logician Ludwig Wittgenstein. “It showed me how language and logic are connected,” Marcos explained. Marcos attended Shaare Torah for high school and is currently learning at Mikdosh Melech.
“LAS is perfect for guys in yeshiva,” said Marcos. “It’s a good educational atmosphere and students end up in great graduate schools.”
Marcos plans on attending law school after he graduates. “Harvard is the dream,” he said. Marcos is excited to be taking political science courses. His interest in law dovetails with his interest in Talmud. “I love debating,” exclaimed Marcos. “Talmud sharpens your mind and forces you to think analytically.”
