Miriam applied to LAS after spending a year at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio. "I heard about LAS from my brother-in-law and he suggested I apply," she explained. "I wanted to be in New York." Miriam plans to finish her degree and then apply to nursing school since she likes the relationship nurses have with their patients. "New York is very busy and fast-paced," she said. "There are a lot of opportunities here."
