For her project on color and space, Assoulin drew a complex landscape showing reflections of light on land and water. She is most proud of how she was able to mix complementary colors to create a light green shade for a part of the wave breaking on the shore. The medium of oil pastels is a difficult medium for blending colors to create values, but she was successful in mastering the technique. “Drawing is a great way to tap into who you are.”
