LAS student Joseph Klarberg has seen the first-hand benefits of LAS’s flexible class schedule. During a 150+ mile bike ride with Bike 4 Chai, Klarberg befriended a fellow rider who offered him a job in a physical therapy clinic. Klarberg managed to work full-time at the clinic while remaining committed to his education at LAS. He graduates this year and plans to apply to Touro’s School of Health Sciences Doctor of Physical Therapy program with more job experience than many of his fellow applicants.

LAS student Manny Marcos isn’t one for light-reading. The last book he read for fun? The collected works of the philosopher and logician Ludwig Wittgenstein. “It showed me how language and logic are connected,” Marcos explained.
