Dr. Comollo has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School and received additional training as a Post Doctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University, in the Pharmacology Department. He also has a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Informatics from University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Rutgers University. He is a peer reviewed author and an inventor on patents and patent applications.

Dr. Comollo has what hopefully would be considered modest but respectable student research programs here, at Touro University, and at Kean University where they use 3D computer modeling and simulation to find putative ion channel modulators. These molecules are then verified in in vitro experiments.

Dr. Comollo’s goals for teaching is for students to have maximum retention. He wants his students to be successful and a positive reflection of his teaching.

Dr. Comollo have taught at the college level since 2020, both asynchronous and “live” online and in person.

Dr. Comollo started teaching here at Touro University in the Spring of 2023, and achieved the rank of Assistant Professor in the Fall of 2023.

Dr. Comollo has also previously worked as an emergency medical technician, medical technologist performing COVID-19 tests, hotel front desk / night audit, hotel cook, security guard, kitchen knife salesman, Subway "sandwich artist," liquor store clerk, and dishwasher, among other jobs.

Dr. Comollo enjoys archery (compound and cross bow), kayaking, camping, fishing, and paintball among other things.

He is married and they have two cats, rabbits, and some fish.
