Dr. Hurley began her career as a Speech Language Pathologist with a fondness for issues relating to hearing and Deafness. She earned her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from Salus University in 2008 and holds dual certification in Speech-language Pathology and Audiology.

Dr. Hurley’s clinical expertise centers on auditory habilitation for children with hearing loss, and she has been a clinician at Strivright/Auditory Oral School of New York since 1999, where she facilitates hearing and oral language development in children from birth to five. She has been at Touro since 2001, where she began as a clinical supervisor in the Speech and Hearing Clinic. She began teaching shortly thereafter and accepted a full-time position in 2004 at the Lander College of Arts and Sciences department of Speech and Communication.

In her free time, Dr. Hurley serves as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician and teaches CPR.
