Shoshana Richter is a psychologist in private practice and a faculty member at Touro University. She received her doctoral degree in school psychology from Rutgers University and is an alumnus of Touro LAS, where she received her bachelor's in honors psychology. She has extensive training in evidence-based practices and gold standard assessment procedures. She is passionate about helping students discover the field of psychology and understand the role of psychologists in clinical and research settings.

Professor Richter focuses on teaching the underlying principles of psychological disorders, scientific inquiry, and research methodology. She has taught a wide range of courses, including biological psychology, experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, cognition and memory, advanced topics in psychology, and group dynamics.

In addition to her teaching, Professor Richter has been actively involved in mentoring student research, particularly through the Honors Seminar and Honors Project, where she supports students in developing and executing their own scholarly work.

Outside of her professional life, Professor Richter is a devoted mother of three and enjoys integrating her love of music into her daily life. She is continually driven by a deep curiosity about human behavior and remains committed to expanding her own understanding of psychology, both to enrich her practice and to bring fresh insight to her students.
