Professor Steven Rovt has been affiliated with Touro since 2002 and became a full-time faculty member in 2004. In 2010, he joined the Online Education Department, where he regularly teaches six courses which include Principles of Marketing, Management, Marketing Management, Organizational Theory and Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Business Ethics. He also teaches Gerontology and Legal Aspects of Health care as part of the five mandatory courses required for the NYS Nursing Home Administrator’s license, with more than 120 students enrolled. Over the years, he has taught 13 different courses in business management and marketing, bringing broad and dynamic expertise to the classroom. Professor Rovt proudly teaches Business Policy, the required cap tone course for business management, Finance and Marketing majors. Professor has also edited, along with Touro colleague Professor Diamanstein, New Era Marketing: A Fresh Look at Basic Principles (2019), Post-Pandemic Marketing: Expert Insights and Predictions (2020), The Age of Digital Consumer Behavior (2020)
He is an active member of both the Assessment Committee and the Distance Learning Committee, contributing to the continuous improvement of academic standards and the advancement of innovative online education practices.
In addition to his academic role, Professor Rovt serves as a Practice Manager at one of the largest cancer care institutions in Brooklyn, where he has held a leadership position for over 13 years. His extensive professional experience in healthcare management allows him to integrate real-world insights into his teaching, preparing students with practical skills and perspectives that bridge theory and practice.
