Birnbaum is debating between pursuing a career as an engineer or as an actuary. “Numbers always made sense to me,” he said. Birnbaum has always had a passion for physics as well. “It’s real stuff; it’s about how the world works,” he said. 

Birnbaum attended the Yeshiva of Far Rockaway for high school and is still part of the yeshiva’s Beis Meidrash program.
