Devorah Nelkenbaum chose LAS since it offered a solid education and the ability to maintain a job while still in school. She currently works at Strivright: Auditory Oral School of New York, a school that aids children with auditory issues. She is thinking about a career in psychology. Her favorite author is Ray Bradbury and his book Fahrenheit 451. Devorah believes a lot of what the late science fiction author wrote applies now: "I think society moves in a certain way and tells you to follow it instead of using your own capabilities to evaluate it," she said.
