Why accounting? In high school, I owned and managed the bakery/canteen at my bungalow colony for a few summers. Performing all the calculations and bookkeeping gave me an understanding of what accounting is all about, and that’s when I realized that I wanted to pursue that.
Why LAS? I knew before I came here that Touro has a great reputation for students ranking high on their CPA exams. I have amazing accounting professors, like Professors Biedenstock and Saltz. As a plus, it doesn’t hurt that I live two blocks away!
How I balance: Going to classes 3 times a week at night enables me to work and go to yeshiva at the same time. I work part-time at the Special Children’s Center in Brooklyn and part-time as a warehouse operations assistant.
