LAS Student Shlomo Zelefsky has a career in mind: oral surgeon. “It’s a combination of medicine and dentistry and has some of the best aspects of both,” he said. “It also gives you a flexible schedule.”
Zelefsky said that he chose LAS after speaking to his siblings and hearing how happy they were with their education at LAS.
“LAS is a great place where you can learn in yeshiva in the morning and come in the evening,” said Zelefsky. Zelefsky is originally from Manhattan but has dormed at Yeshiva Shaar HaTorah in Queens throughout high school. He arrives in LAS after spending two years at the Mir Yeshiva in Israel.
Zelefsky is also an accomplished pianist. His favorite piece? The Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms.
