Every organization needs someone who understands how to manage money, lead teams, and keep operations running smoothly. The managerial accounting and business administration major at Touro’s Lander College of Arts and Sciences (LAS) prepares you to do just that.

This is a smart, flexible alternative to the CPA track for students who want to lead from the inside out. You’ll build practical skills in budgeting, internal accounting, and organizational planning while developing the confidence to step into operational or administrative roles across industries.

Why Choose Managerial Accounting at Touro LAS

At Touro LAS, the managerial accounting and business admin major is designed for students who want to build a meaningful career in accounting, operations, or internal business management — without pursuing CPA licensure.

With small classes and faculty who know you by name, you’ll gain a strong foundation in accounting principles, business law, organizational planning, and financial strategy, giving you the tools to keep businesses running smoothly.

Many of our graduates take on positions like cost accountant, budget analyst, department manager, or operations coordinator at private companies, nonprofits, and large enterprises. Others go on to work at accounting firms in roles that don’t require CPA credentials, including bookkeeper, billing specialist, audit assistant, and financial analyst.

You’ll also get a strong foundational understanding of how businesses operate by taking a comprehensive business core, featuring courses in economics, Excel, statistics, business communication, and financial literacy. Ethics, responsibility, and accountability are also built into every course, so you graduate with technical skills and the mindset to succeed.

It’s authentic, real education that you won’t get in many places. Our teachers aren’t academics — they’ve been there. They’ve lived this.
