Time to completion: as little as 17 months for a bachelor’s and 22 months for a combined bachelor’s and master’s, depending on how many credits you have to start. The CPA exam requires you have 150 credits to sit for the exam.

Location: You can take courses in person at our Brooklyn campus, and/or remote-live via Zoom. You decide what works best for you for each class.

Pre-requisites: You don’t need any degree or courses to get started.

We offer three pathways towards your CPA accounting degree, depending on your motivation, schedule, and career path. Whichever path you take, you’ll gain the accounting, computer, and communications skills you’ll need to succeed.

Accelerated BS in Accounting

You can take the accounting and business courses required for a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, in as little as 17 months. You’ll need to meet with an academic advisor early to come up with a plan of study to meet the required courses in that time frame. The exact plan of study will vary based on what credits you’re coming in with. This is an intense program, but for those that commit there is a generous scholarship, as well as financial aid eligibility.

Highlights:

  • 17 months to get a bachelor’s degree
  • Generous scholarship
  • Financial aid eligibility

Accelerated BS + MS in Accounting

You can complete your bachelor’s and master’s in as little as 22 months. You’ll need to meet with an academic advisor early to come up with a personalized plan of study. Five of your graduate courses count towards your undergraduate degree, which means you pay the lesser undergraduate tuition, and also are eligible for governmental financial aid for those your graduate courses, a great cost savings. You’ll start taking graduate courses in your second semester at Touro, and your last semester will be all graduate courses (not TAP or PELL eligible).

You must maintain a 3.0 GPA in all accounting courses and an overall 2.75 GPA to continue into master’s degree program in your last semester.

Why a master’s in accounting?
A master’s can help you get ahead in the field. With a master’s degree you are better positioned for advanced positions in the accounting field. You’ll get a deeper understanding of accounting and further develop your management and strategic problem-solving skills. If you’re taking the 150 credits, as required for the CPA exam, why not get a master’s at the same time!

Highlights:

  • 22 months to get a bachelor’s AND master’s
  • Complete the 150 credits required to sit for the CPA exam
  • Financial aid eligibility for most of your coursework

Traditional BS in Accounting

You can take the required courses at your own pace, usually completed in 24-30 months. Eligible for TAP and PELL financial aid grants.
